Serve the World
It Takes a [Global] Village
We recognize that caring for our own isn't enough; we are called to global ministry. So, from villages in Guatemala and Mozambique to schools in El Salvador and Ecuador, Revolution is working to help bring hope to new generations of God's children across the world.
Haiti Clean Water Project
2013-2014 Initiative. First Fundraiser: February 7, 2014
Revolution provided families with clean water through the Haiti Clean Water Project in 2013 and 2014. This practical filtration systems (pictured above) purify up to one million gallons each! Our last fundraiser, Wine to Water, was a complete success and thanks to your generous support we will be able to provide hundreds of filters to families in Haiti.
El Salvador Team
(Picture: sponsored youth wearing revolution tees!) A delegation from Revolution traveled to El Salvador to visit our sister community of Comasagua in Aug 2013. The team helped with community projects like the inauguration of a solar energy project, the construction of a kitchen, warehouse, and small computer center. All proceeds from our fundraisers provided scholarships to rural students in El Salvador who would otherwise not be able to receive a high school or college education.
Nothing But Nets
In 2013 the Revolution community committed itself to making a difference through Nothing But Nets. Our goal of raising the level of awareness about malaria and its dangerous spread worked within our community, and our congregation responded in powerful ways.
Refugee Support Team
From 2006-2008, Revolution sponsored refugee families from Somalia, Sudan, and Burma. In addition to providing much needed food and supplies, we supported families by providing tutors for their children, and by planning various fun events for the families throughout the year. Please visit our facebook page for more pictures and information. Also, please check this article in the Topeka Capital Journal.
Guatemala Team: El Eden
In 2007, we partnered with Agros International to help the village of El Eden purchase their own land. A team from Revolution travelled to El Eden to plant cardamomo, and to help with several projects throughout the village. Prior to our trip to Guatemala, our outreach team also planned a major fundraiser concert called "Cultivate." This concert gathered many local bands. Thanks to the support of many local bands and organizations, we were able to provide a permanent home for our sister village, El Eden.
